What Makes a Black Box Look Cheap
- Thin board — Box flexes, feels flimsy
- Glossy cheap black — Looks like a shoe box
- Too much decoration — Black needs restraint
- No logo detail — Plain black with nothing looks unfinished
- Bad edges — Wrinkles, gaps, torn corners
- Bright colors inside — Black outside, cheap red inside = cheap
- No insert — Product rattles in an empty black box
What Makes a Black Box Look Expensive
- Thick rigid board — Solid, heavy, premium feel
- Soft-touch matte finish — Velvety to the touch
- Small gold foil logo — Restrained, elegant
- Clean edges — Wrapped perfectly, no wrinkles
- Matching black insert — Everything black, unified
- Subtle detail — Debossed pattern, foil text, metal clasp
- Weight — A heavy box feels expensive
