Why Buyers Ask About Round Gift Boxes

Most packaging suppliers offer square and rectangular boxes only. Buyers looking for circular packaging — for Mid-Autumn mooncake sets, Chinese tea tins, chocolate assortments, or wedding favor sets — struggle to find a factory that can cut round rigid board, match a clean lid fit, and build segmented wedge inserts that hold each product in place.

If you’re a mooncake brand buyer, tea brand, confectionery company, festival gift packaging manager, or luxury gifting brand sourcing round boxes, the key questions are: can the supplier manufacture a true circular rigid box, print or embroider artwork on the lid, and build a compartment insert sized to your product?

Common Round Box Mistakes

Lid fit too loose | The lid should slide on with a snug, even gap all around

Round board edges rough | Cut edges must be covered and clean, not showing exposed board

Wedge slots misaligned | Each product must sit level; uneven slots look cheap

Central hole wrong size | Measure your center tin or bottle before cutting the insert

Embroidering on small panels | Fine floral detail needs enough panel diameter to read clearly

Box too shallow | Leave clearance for product height plus insert thickness

No stacking strength | Round lids must support stacking during warehouse storage

FAQ for Procurement Teams

Q: What is the MOQ for round gift boxes?

A: Standard MOQ is 300 boxes. Plain round boxes without special artwork can start at 200 boxes.

Q: Can the lid artwork be printed instead of embroidered?

A: Yes. Offset full-color printing, foil stamping, and UV gloss are all available on the round lid; embroidery is optional for a handcrafted premium look.

A: Yes. Send product dimensions and samples, and we’ll design radial wedge slots or a center circular cutout to fit each item securely.

Q: What diameters and heights are available?

A: Common diameters range from 15 cm to 35 cm; height is adjustable to your product. We can produce custom sizes from your technical drawing.

Q: What is the lead time?

A: Sample: 10–15 days. Mass production: 25–35 days for 300–500 boxes, depending on embroidery and insert complexity.
