Description
Flat-Pack Is The Hidden Cost Advantage
A rigid box ships assembled — big, bulky, expensive. A folding carton ships flat — thin, stackable, cheap. The same number of cartons takes up 1/5 the space. That’s why folding cartons are the world’s most common packaging format: they save you money on freight, storage and handling.

How Flat-Pack Works
- We print and cut — Cartons are printed, die-cut and folded flat
- We glue — One side seam is glued, carton stays flat
- We pack — Flat cartons stacked and packed in cartons
- You receive — Thousands of flat cartons on one pallet
- You erect — Pop up the carton, lock the base, fill, close
Erection takes 2–5 seconds per carton by hand, or under 1 second on an automatic packaging line.

Storage Tips
- Keep flat — Don’t pre-erect cartons you won’t use immediately
- Control humidity — Store in dry environment (40–60% RH)
- Keep flat and level — Prevents warping
- Use FIFO — First in, first out (paper ages)
- Keep wrapped — Dust and moisture damage print quality
Common Flat-Pack Mistakes
- Ordering too many — Flat cartons save space, but don’t over-order beyond 6 months
- Storing in damp — Paper absorbs moisture, cartons warp
- Deep scoring too light — Cartons won’t fold cleanly
- Too thick paper — Hard to erect, tuck ends won’t stay closed
- No erection test — Cartons arrive and jam on your filling line
